An agreement on the ground rules governing carbon credit trading was ratified at the end of the first day of COP29, which is ongoing in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Speaking after the news was announced late last night, COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev said, “We welcome this positive momentum. I hope a spirit of consensus has emerged that will inspire all our work in Baku.”
